A building inspection can be performed on almost any structure regardless of the design concept or nature of usage.  Cornerstone Building Inspections conducts a thorough review and inspection of buildings and associated property. Building inspections are conducted to ensure the safety, structural integrity, and compliance of a structure with local and provincial building codes.

Building inspections are like other types of inspections, we look at issues within the building. We can give you a second opinion on the building envelope and roofing system, identify areas where asbestos was used or assess the building’s HVAC system.

A top-to-bottom, inside-and-out inspection is a comprehensive approach that covers all aspects of a building, ensuring a complete assessment. We’ll also conduct thorough inspections on the building’s mechanical systems such as, plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning. A proper building inspection should also take into consideration earthquake preparedness and seismic bracing to enhance the building's safety in regions where seismic activity is a concern.
